Time to trim the F-623 ribsTime to trim the F-623 ribs
I'll be glad to be through with these ribs. The instructions are very vague. I read another builders log where he noted that the directions must have written by Picaso. I need to trim the flanges to make room for the foot steps. There are no dimensions, no directions; only a this drawing which (to me) implies to "eye-ball" the center of the cut-out and make plenty of room for the foot step pipes. The drawing shows a rather large cuttout area, much more than needed to make room for the foot step pipes.

I used my left and right hand snips to get out as much of the notch as I could. Then I finished them off with the scotchbrite wheel.

I reckon that'll do'er.

I received an email from my good buddy Lorin saying that I had missed enlarging the second set of holes in each tailcone bulkhead for the rudder cables. So I went back and put them in. Somehow I missed the line in the instructions that said "2 places". Thanks Lorin!
