Started drilling the F-634 seat belt anchorsStarted drilling the F-634 seat belt anchors
I drilled one side of each anchor pair according the instructions on the drawing and bolted it to the F705 assembly. The instructions say to put a 3/16" spacer between both anchors in order to set up the drilling of the whole in the other bracket. It just so happens that tongue depressors are exactly 1/16 of an inch thick. So I put three of them together to make the spacer. Very cool.

I positioned both anchors as straight as I could before drilling. After clamping everything down, I flipped the whole thing and drilled the hole.

There are two spots on each end pairs of anchors where the foot of the anchor interferes with a rivet hole where a rib will go in later. I made the mistake of trying to trim these puppies with my metal cutting blade (not) on the bandsaw. Needless to say, they ate my bandsaw blade. Oh boy, another trip to Lowes. I took the anchors over to my bench grinder and trimmed off the excess with the old grinding wheel that originally came with the unit. Then I smoothed everything off with the scotchbrite wheel.
