Riveted the F-758 bracket to the bottom of F-766ARiveted the F-758 bracket to the bottom of F-766A
No biggie here. I used my pneumatic squeezer to attach these brackets.

I decided to countersink the F-766A for the nutplates. The thickness of this material seems to be just right for this.
Done!Done!
I have decided to change my mind about priming the whole part on the inner fuselage. I am pretty much only priming where metal gets riveted to metal and leaving the rest for the painting of the interior later. So here, I've primed the nutplates and the countersink holes on the reverse side of the F-766A.

I decided to read ahead on this part after some problems that other builders had with this installation on their websites. The instructions are wrong for this installation. They state "Centerline the F-766C plate and match drill it to the F-766A channel. Rivet the pieces together and drill the bolt hole full size." If you rivet the pieces together and then drill the bolt hole, there is no way to expand the size of the hole in the F-766A channel to 5/8" to accomodate the nut that will be installed later. Keep reading below and you'll see what I'm talking about. The picture shows where I clecoed and drilled the F-766C plate using the holes in the F-766A as a drilling guide. I also went ahead and drilled the 1/4" bolt hole in the middle.

You can see here that if you had riveted the F-766C plate to the F-766A as stated by the instructions, there isn't any way in hell that you could have enlarged the hole in the F-766A channel. So here I used my unibit (at a really slow speed) to make the hole 5/8" in the channel.

I countersunk the holes into the F-766A channel and into the F-766C plate for the rivets and used my pneumatic squeezer to set the rivets.
