OK, now I'm ready to drill the holes into the F-719 skin stiffener angles on the sides of the skins to hold the plastic bearing blocks in place. BUT, how in the hell do you get to it? It's upside-down drilling and really close to the fuselage skin?
Here's my solutionHere's my solution
I simply removed the F-719 stiffener angles after marking and outlining the position of the plastic bearing blocks onto the stiffeners. Here I put a couple of C clamps on the on the block and the angle to hold it while I drilled the holes into the angle, using the plastic blocks as a drill guide. I put some oil on the drill bit to prevent the drill from binding inside the plastic and possibly removing any more of the plastic.
Done!Done!
The instructions say to drill extra holes in the F-719 stiffeners in case you decide to move the rudder pedals forward later.
