Drilled the foot step holes in the F-970 forward side skinsDrilled the foot step holes in the F-970 forward side skins
This is really where I appreciate a forum like RivetBangers.com. The instructions say "If you are going to install a step, use the holesaw to drill the F-970 where the tube of the step will pass though". How big a hole? Dang it, here we go again. I checked one website where the builder made the hole much larger than the diameter of the of the foot step pipe, only to find later that the hole was too big. The hole was visible after the step was installed. I posted my hole question and received an answer within 20 minutes. I drilled the hole 1.5 inches, which is the same size as the foot step pipe.

This is really looking cool and my garage is looking really small. It was really a little tricky putting in the clecos into the tail section, but once I got one cleco in, the rest went in easily.
