Crap! I cut off the wrong end of the F-605C. I should have looked at the over measurements (including bend measurements) before cutting this dude. My first impression of the drawing was that I had to bend this piece into the shape as shown on the drawing. When I noticed that the bend was already done, I thought the drawing was old and therefore redundant. At least that's my excuse for not looking at the plans closer. Lame, lame. lame. The important measurement here is the small bend on the outboard end of this part, which is 2 inches from the outboard end of the piece. That is determining factor in what to cut off on this piece.
What to do, what to do...What to do, what to do...
I wrote an email to Van's and am waiting on an answer. Here's the problem. If I go ahead and install the piece as is the spacer between the bar will be offset 1/4 of an inch. If I have to order new parts, I will. (dang it...)
UPDATE: I got an answer back saying it would be OK to proceed as is. But I have decided to just order new bars and do it over again.
