Started work on the F-750 Bulkhead I cut the F-705B Center Section Bar according to the length in the drawing. Then I marked a lengthwise centerline with a sharpie on the rear face of the bar. After a bit of searching, I found the F-605C Bar Doublers. The plans call for these dudes to be trimmed down, but I'm going to wait until I get all the holes drilled. It will make it easier to line them up to the F-705B Center Section Bar.

Time to cut out the F-705H Spacers I went through a long search for this dude and finally found it (in the last container that I looked into). The picture shows where I found it. Maybe this will save the next guy some time from going on "the hunt".

Made the preliminary cut This was a little spooky, cutting so close to the bandsaw blade.
|
Smoothed the edges and trim the side There is small angle cut on each spacer. I just decided to use the Scotchbrite wheel to make this angle.

Time for drillin'! The instructions say to clamp all the parts together and start drilling, using the F-705A as a guide. I decided to drill the F-705B Center Section Bar first and then drill the other parts later. It just seems to me that it would be more difficult to try to clamp all those loose parts together and also stay lined up on the holes in the F-705A.

It's time for a close-up Mr Demill! This shot shows the F-705B Center Section Bar on the back of the F-705A Rear Spar Attach Bulkhead.
