Getting ready to rivet the trailing edge of the left flapGetting ready to rivet the trailing edge of the left flap
Alright, the moment of truth. Can the intrepid redneck builder make a straight trailing edge on this flap? I taped my 4 foot long steel angle to the edge of my work bench. Then I laid two sheets of 1/8 inch masonite in front of the steel angle to make that the flaps lays flat on the table while getting backriveted.

Datsa' lotta' rivets! I taped them down with Scotch Brand Magic Removeable tape. I found this tape at Office Max.

The whole thing went fairly fast. I hit each rivet with my backrivet tool on the rivet gun with a single "blurp" of the rivet gun. Then I flipped the flap over and finished off the trailing edge with my mushroom rivet head on the rivet gun, with the same short "blurp" of the rivet gun.
Thar' tis!Thar' tis!
No on to the right flap!

This went much faster than the left flap assemblies, now that I know what I'm doing.
