A regular #30 bit wasn't longer enough so I used one of my 12 inch bits from Averys.

There are 4 of these ear-shaped plates. One goes on each end of the tanks. They have to be popped out of the T-407 tank reinforcement ring for shaping.

The instructions say that they should fit closely to the skin. So I when I cut them out, I did rough cuts slightly bigger than the drawing. Then I slowly trimmed the edges until I got a tight fit against the tank skin. The bench sander worked great for this.

I'm sure these plates are used to plug up the holes in the front of the outer tank rib when gooped up with the Proseal.

Looks good. Now for the plumbing.
