Countersunk the 3/32 rivet holes in the gascolator bracket No biggy here. It's a nice break to work on a no brainer.
Dimpled the firewall for the gascolator bracket I am amazed at how pliable this fire wall metal is. You breath on it and it dents.
Riveted the gascolator bracket into place Not a hard job at all.
Thinking about when to install the firewall inset I can't find any mention of when to install the insert. So I decided to rivet the sides together. I put some RTV between the overlapping flanges. The only mention of the inset I found was that you need to install the rudder pedals first, so you can get to the center rudder support angle rivets.
Put the rudder pedals in place I removed the forward panel deck and temporarily put the rudder pedals in. Then I realized that I did not drill the holes in the gascolator bracket for the gascolator that goes on the forward side of the firewall. So, tomorrow I will pull the rudder pedals back and drill those holes.
