Time to drill the forward longerons The longerons are twisted on the forward ends, so the skin has to confrom to the twist before the holes can be drilled. To do this, I bought some more small "C"clamps and started putting them on, aft to forward, slowly pulling the skin into the twist.
Drilled the skin to the forward longerons I started drilling the holes closest to the clamps first and then went out from there, allowing the clecos to do the job of conforming the skin to the longeron twist.

Made the four F-904-L straps The drawing says to make the straps out of AS3-063 X 5/8 which is not listed anywhere on the parts list. I also couldn't find it in all the parts I went through ONE PART AT A TIME. However, I did find a sheet of aluminum marked as "AS3-063X3 7/8X11 AL SHEET" which WAS on the part list. So I decided to make the F-904-L straps out of this sheet. I hope this doesn't bite me on the butt later.

Time for the firewall! This is cool. I wiped off the cobwebs, dust and spilled Coke stains and put it into position, inside the longerons. My garage is getting smaller and smaller.
Clamped the firewall into position I put on two clamps, one for each side of the longeron angles.
Clecoed on the F-972 Forward Bottom Skin That is one thick piece of aluminum. That's a good thing. It will be able to support my fat feet!
