Fabricated the F-904M Web Stiffeners I final drilled the holes in the stiffeners using the F-904A bulkhead as a guide. The 2 larger holes are the nutplates that will be installed. The holes were drilled with a #19 drill bit.
Ready to install the nutplates I located a AN515-8R8 screw and used it to line up the nutplate for drilling the rivet holes.
Enlarged the screw holes to a #19 in the F-982B support ribs
Countersunk the F-904A Bulkhead for the F-904M stiffeners To prevent the countersink bit from scooting around and messing up the hole in the bulkhead, I clecoed on the F-904M stiffeners from behind with #19 clecos. This forces the countersink bit to stay centered while it spins inside the holes in the F-904M stiffeners.
Riveted on the F-904M stiffeners I decided to back rivet these guys on. I taped my steel plate to the back of the bulkhead and then layed the back of the steel plate and bulkhead on a piece of 3/4" inch plywood, to lift the whole bulkhead off the work bench. Worked like a charm.
Looking good! Time to screw on the F-982B supports.
Almost done I will rivet on the F-983B support ribs tomorrow.
