Finished riveting on the gap fairings (kind of)Finished riveting on the gap fairings (kind of)
I used my Avery hand squeezer and small no-hole yoke to put in the rivets on the skin side and used the rivet gun and bucking bar on the rear spar.

I didn't realize at the time when I added the plywood shelf on the wing cradle that it would serve as scaffold for me to stand on while I was squeezing rivets on the gap seals. Cool!
Still more left to do...Still more left to do...
There are two flat head rivets that have to be put in that are hard to reach. Now I know why there are notches in the push-rod shaft of the squeezer. To get the rivet set up to the rivet, I had to put the rivet set into the yoke after it was put into position for the squeezing session. Then I had to use a small open end wrench to un-screw the squeezer shaft so it would move up into position for the final squeezing. This really takes a long time, but it works. One down, 3 more to go.
