Riveted on the access panel platenutsRiveted on the access panel platenuts
There are 3 sets of these platenuts on the main spar. I countersunk the spar for the flat head rivets that hold the platenuts on, making sure to spot prime each countersink before riveting.
Primed all of the countersinksPrimed all of the countersinks
After I attached the access panel platenuts, I countersunk the main spar using a #40 countersink and used my scrap piece of sheet aluminum with a #6 dimple in it to check the depth of the countersink. Then I primed all of the countersinks with one swoop of the rattle can primer and wiped off the excess.
