Making the F-996C reinforcement angles

These angles provide added strength and a place for the wing tank attach bracket to bolt on to. Before making these guys, I checked a number of other builder websites and just about all of them had remake these parts over and over again. But I really didn't understand why until I did it for myself. I made two angles, both 5 3/4 inches long and drilled all the holes except the bottom one like the instructions said. Then when I tried to cleco the angle to the fuselage using the hole in the side skin the angle hole was off, WAY off. It was so out of alignment that I had to trash the angles and start over. After I made new angles, I used the holes in the skin as a guide to drill the holes in the angle pieces. Here in the picture you can see just how "off" the drawing is. Note: My camera has a goofy wide angle lens which makes the angle piece look bigger than the drawing, but it's not.
