The essential tool - say Ahhhh!
I bought this dentist's mirror at Walgreens Drug and Aircraft Supply. It made very easy to spot the innertube trying work it's way between the rim halves while tightening the bolts, a little at a time. I used my finger and an allen wrench to push the tube back if it was going to get caught between the rim halves.
