Started putting in the rivets
The instructions say to start at the aft end and work your way forward, putting in the rivets one at a time (That’s funny, I’ve noticed that all of my rivets go in “one at a time”). The only problem with this is that the end most rivet wouldn’t go into the first hole perfectly straight, it was leaning over badly. So I decided to put in the second rivet first (the green arrow). This pulled the rib in tightly against the skin. Now the first rivet fits nicely, ready for riveting. Also, I have to say the using the old rivet gun and bucketing bar produced much nicer shop heads than using the hand squeezer. I was able to keep the bucking bar at a perfect 90 degree angle with the rivet while bucking it. If the rivet is leaning over a bit, the hand squeezer just smashes the rivet head over to one side.
