Started dimpling the top inboard skinStarted dimpling the top inboard skin
The inboard skin is really thick, much thicker than the outboard skin. I'm trying my best to dimple the holes with the C-Frame dimple shaft lined up with the legs on the work table. The dimples just seem to come out nicer.

No matter how hard I try to get the C-Frame to put a nice flat dimple in this thick skin, each hole has an almost unnoticeable dip in the skin around the dimple. I went back over each dimple with my pop-rivet dimplers and got the "dip" out.

I sanded the edges and put skin this away.
Finished dimpling and sanding the doubler plateFinished dimpling and sanding the doubler plate
I did the same routine on the doubler plate. It is thick just like the inboard skin. I did a single solid "whack" with the dead-blow hammer on the C-Frame dimpler and then went back over all the holes with the pop-rivet dimplers to get the craters around the dimples out. I know this routine seems a little extreme with double dimpling the holes, but when I did this on the left wing, the skin looks absolutely perfect when it is riveted on.
