Started work on the W-919 Doubler strip The instructions talk about the W-919 Doubler strip as if it was a pre-made part with a label. Nope, you have to find the strips in the box. There are 2 of them, about 3 feet long by 1 1/2 inches. I marked a line on one of the strips 1/2" from the edge. This line shows up in the pre-drilled holes of the skin when the strip is inserted.
Pre-bent the doubler strip The instructions say to use a rib to do the pre-bend of the strip. I decided to use the curvature of the front skin as a guide. I duct-taped the strip on to one side and did the bend over the other side. I also made the cutoff mark on the strip as well. You'll notice the rib is in place to reinforce the skin as I do the bend.
I put the doubler strip into position I put the rib into position and then pushed it back inside the skin curve towards the end of the wing. Then it was easy to put the doubler strip in it's final position and then pull the rib on to the doubler strip. Also, before I put the doubler strip into position, I marked a line on the inside of the strip (as shown by the green arrow) so I would know how far forward to pull the rib on to the doubler strip.

Final drilled the skin, doubler strip and rib
