I finished off the dimpling of the E-906 end rib with my Avery vise grip dimpler. I also dimpled the rest of the holes in the right elevator skin.
It's Prime Time!It's Prime Time!
I put on my heavy double filter mask that I got from Lowes (aircraft supply - arr arr) and set up the saw horses with a half sheet of plywood on them in the driveway. I used my Sherwin Williams rattle can primer and sprayed away.

If you don't have a pneumatic squeezer.... GET ONE!

I couldn't get the pneumatic rivet squeezer over the rib flanges to get to the rivets, so I took one of the dimple dies out and positioned the squeezer over the flanges. Then I had just enough room to put the dimple die back in so I could use the squeezer.

I started on the front of the skin and worked my way back, leaving the last 6 holes unriveted so I could rivet the counterbalance skin to the elevator skin later.

I put my "no-hole" yoke into the pneumatic squeezer and had problems putting in all these rivets.
Beautiful end to beautiful dayBeautiful end to beautiful day
It was time to rivet on the stiffeners to the top of the elevator skin. Then I realized that I will need help to hold the skin apart to do this part. I decided to quit working and walked out onto the driveway. I looked up and was blown away by this incredible sunset. Ain't life good?
