Here's a shot showing some the riveting that I did on the middle ribs. After this, I used one of Van's wooden cradles as a pattern and made another one to hold up the whole Horizontal Stabilizer so I could starting working on attaching the rear spar.

It's amazing how the HS firmed up after attaching the rear spar. You get the overwhelming feeling that this dude is really strong. I pop-riveted the rear spar to the inner middle ribs and used by Avery pneumatic rivet squeezer on the end ribs. Did I mention how much I LUV the Avery pneumatic rivet squeezer? I get a kick out of how it "poots" after every rivet.

I decided to take the Horizontal Stabilizer out of the wooden cradles and lay it on some foam rubber mattresses. I think it will make it easier to squeeze the rivets. I will use the Avery hand squeezer on these puppies.
