Sealing fuel tank leaks Having just finished a leak test on my left fuel tank, I noticed some (predicted) leaks. All of the leaks, except for two, are coming from the flange and rivets of the rear baffle. The baffle leaks I can fix relatively easily however the two leaks that are coming from one of the T904-L inner rib rivets are another story. What I would like to know is, can I drill out the two rib rivets and replace them with AD-41H blind rivets? If not, is there another type of "countersunk" blind rivet rivet that I could use?

Sealing fuel tank leaks - RE: You can also use Loctite 130 to seal these leaks if they are minor weeps. To do this, put a little vacuum ~1 PSI in the tank. Wick some Loctite 130 into the leakey rivet areas. Allow it to wick in overnight. Retest it again the next day. If for some reason this doesn't work, you can replace the rivet with a blind rivet as you described with a copious amount of ProSeal. Vans Aircraft
